Application
This equipment is used for accumulating the strip to be fed into the tube mill line without stopping the line during butt welding of both ends of 2 coils.

Wonjin ROTARY LOOPER®
has its own special features differently from other accumulator as follows.
|
|
1. DIFFERENT DRIVE SYSTEM
Two (2) drives are simultaneously operated for accumulating continuous coil. Other accumulator system pushes or pulls strip with only pinch roll or rotary drum drive only, however, the ROTARY LOOPER® pulls and pushes it simultaneously, thus result in;
1) Less power needed
2) Keeps appropriate gap between coils
3) Low noise

2. THINNER STRIP HANDLING
|
|
When storing strip into the accumulator, thinner strips are apt to be bent because of only one drive and winding resistance.
|
|
|
To eliminate problem for thinner strip, the ROTARY LOOPER® feeds and winds the strip with 2 devices such as pinch roll and rotary drum.
As it shows left, the strip is pushed by pinch roll and pulled by rotary drum simultaneously. Therefore, the ROTARY
LOOPER® can handle thinner strip than other accumulation system.

3. VERY SIMPLIFIED MECHANISM
When strips are stored into the accumulator, other accumulator system should expand the outer basket and contracts inner basket.

On the contrary, the baskets of the ROTARY LOOPER® are not moved for accumulation. This means that there are little factors, which need maintenance
|

|
4. BEST FOR SURFACE PROTECTION
Because strips can be accumulated and kept appropriate distance between the winds, little friction between the strips is occurred and results in no scratch on the surface of strip and low noise.

5. EASY OPERATION
Because of simplified mechanism and less maintenance, non-skilled operator can knows how to operate the ROTARY LOOPER® in a short time of training.
